SCSP Event Terms and Conditions
By registering for this event held by the Special Competitive Studies Project (“SCSP”), you agree to the below terms and conditions that govern your attendance and participation at the event (the “Event”). These terms and conditions supplement SCSP’s “Terms of Use” (https: //www.scsp.ai/terms-of-use/). You hereby further agree to the following:
PHOTO/VIDEO POLICY
You grant the SCSP the right and permission to record, collect, and use your name, voice, and likeness recorded in connection with Event, and the right to use, re-use, modify, license, copy, post, broadcast, display, publish, and re-publish the foregoing, and allow others to do the same, in whole or part, individually or in conjunction with other images, in any and all media now or hereafter known (including without limitation websites, apps, television, streaming platforms, social media, publications, and newsletters), throughout the world, for educational, charitable, promotional, and any other lawful purpose, in perpetuity. You hereby waive any right to inspect or approve any materials containing your the rights granted by you herein. You may revoke this waiver at any time by emailing events@scsp.ai.
USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
SCSP is committed to data privacy and protecting your personal information. Information on how SCSP collects, processes, and uses your data is included in the SCSP Privacy Policy (https://www.scsp.ai/privacy-notice/) which is hereby incorporated into these Terms & Conditions. Additionally, by submitting your email address during the event registration process, you agree that SCSP and its event partners may send you event-related information. You also agree to receive emails from SCSP regarding newsletters, upcoming events, and other updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the emails you receive. You can also update your preferences by clicking the link in the emails you receive. A valid email address is required for all registrations.
SCSP uses the personal data you provide in this registration for administering your participation at the Event. This may include information about the Event’s content, event logistics, updates, and additional information related to the Event.
SCSP may disclose your personal data to third-party service providers engaged by SCSP to assist in the conduct of the Event (e.g. mobile application provider). Information you provide when registering for or participating in an event managed or co-sponsored by parties other than or in addition to SCSP may be shared by those parties, and the treatment of such information is further subject to the privacy policies of those parties. Except as described herein, SCSP will not share or sell your personal data to any other third-party without your consent except where required to do so by law.
INDEMNIFICATION & WAIVER
By registering for and attending the Event, you agree to the following:
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless SCSP and its affiliates, successors and assigns, and each of their respective trustees, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers and representatives, from and against all claims, liabilities, actions, suits, proceedings, assessments, judgments, decrees, losses, expenses, damages, settlement funds, fines, penalties and associated costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to (1) any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or (2) any claim resulting from any act or wilful misconduct by you, in each case, to the fullest extent permitted by law and whether or not the claim has merit. SCSP reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter that is subject to indemnification under this section, in which event you agree to cooperate with any reasonable requests assisting our defense of such matter.
YOU HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND FOREVER DISCHARGE ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE AGAINST SCSP AND ITS AFFILIATES, ITS AFFILIATED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS, EITHER IN LAW OR IN EQUITY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES OR LOSSES CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE, FAULT, OR CONDUCT OF ANY KIND ON THE PART OF THE RELEASED PARTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DEATH, BODILY INJURY, ILLNESS, ECONOMIC LOSS OR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, OR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, WHICH YOU, YOUR HEIRS, ASSIGNEES, NEXT OF KIN, AND/OR LEGALLY APPOINTED OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES, MAY HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREINAFTER ACCRUE ON MY BEHALF, WHICH ARISE OR MAY HEREAFTER ARISE FROM MY PARTICIPATION OF ATTENDING THE EVENT. ANY LIABILITY THAT MAY EXIST AGAINST SCSP AND ITS AFFILIATED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, LICENSORS, GUESTS, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS IS LIMITED TO THE COST OF ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT.
