80 rising leaders in geopolitics and technology from across the globe announced at the third Global Summit
Taipei, Taiwan, March 6, 2024 – The Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) announced the 2025 cohort of International Strategy Forum (ISF) Fellows during the third annual ISF Global Summit. Eighty new Fellows from 40 countries convened in Taipei from February 26 to March 1 to commence their 11-month-long ISF Fellowship.
“We founded the International Strategy Forum in 2020, because we wanted to assemble people at the intersection of geopolitics and technology, because we saw how complicated the problems were going to get,” said SCSP Chair Eric Schmidt. “And I think the last five years have shown that was the right decision, as global challenges are getting more complicated.”
The Fellows participated in a fireside chat with Taiwan Vice President Hsiao Bi-Khim and engaged with other Taiwanese leaders and organizations to understand the nexus of Taiwan to regional and global dynamics around ISF’s three core themes for 2025—the Future of Global Security, the Future of Innovation Power, and the Future of Resilient Democratic Societies. Fellows also had opportunities to enjoy the culture of Taiwan through various excursions.
“The International Strategy Forum is a world-class fellowship bringing together the leaders of tomorrow,” said President of the Special Competitive Studies Project Ylli Bajraktari. “SCSP is proud to lead this program that will build a network of interdisciplinary problem solvers committed to tackling the hardest problems our world faces.”
First convened in 2021, ISF is a non-residential fellowship program that brings together rising leaders around the world, roughly ages 25 to 35, from diverse fields and sectors. The program is intentionally interdisciplinary, with Fellows working in government, academia, civil society, and industry on issues as varied as artificial intelligence, biosecurity, energy transition, digital transformation, economic and trade policy, geopolitical risk, health technology, human rights and humanitarian aid, media, quantum computing, deep tech investing, and more. ISF strives to connect its Fellows from around the world to build the cross-sectoral and cross-border collaborations that can help solve some of the complex geopolitical and technology issues we face in common.
